Doug comes from a very musical family and learned guitar at an early age. He earned his degree in guitar performance from Casper College playing in the jazz band, guitar ensemble and the opera band Icantori. He is proficient on classical guitar, folk guitar, electric guitar & bass guitar as well as being able to play banjo, manolin and ukulele. He performs regularly for church, weddings and other functions. He has taught guitar at Wyoming Music since 2008 and enjoys teaching all genres and abilities.
